Services and Tasks
When someone on the job site says "plastered wall, 12 m²," it shouldn't become a forgotten note, but a traceable task or service. Skava connects chat, todos, and the Tasks tab for this.
The Tasks Tab
The Tasks tab shows under "My Tasks" everything assigned to you personally. As long as nothing is assigned, you see the empty state "No assigned tasks". At the bottom is the Time Tracking with the status (for example, "Not clocked in") and a Start button to clock in and out.
Todo Lists in Chat
Create a quick task list directly in the chat — it stays visible in the project context:
- Tap the Plus icon in the input line and select Create todo list.
- In the dialog, give it a title.
- Enter one or more tasks; use "Add task" to create new rows.
- Confirm with Create — the list appears as an element in the chat history.
Each task in the list has a checkbox. This way the whole team sees at a glance what is still open and what is done — without anyone having to ask.
From Voice Memo to Service
Via the Plus icon → Create service, you record a completed service directly in the chat. This requires the chat to be linked with a company. If you record a service as a memo, Skava helps you turn it into a cleanly recorded line item — see Files, Media, and Audio.
A todo list is a quick memory aid in the chat. A service is a recorded, billable line item and requires a linked company.
Time Tracking
Via the Start button in the Tasks tab, you clock in and out for the quick case. For the complete overview, time tracking opens its own calendar view.
The overview shows a calendar with all recorded times:
- Use the M / W switcher to toggle between month and week view.
- Use the arrows ‹ › to navigate through time periods; the calendar icon jumps back to today.
- Under Recent entries are the most recently recorded times. If nothing is recorded yet, "No entries" appears.
At the top right are a map icon for work sites and the Plus icon for a new entry.
You can also enter a time period manually: via the Plus icon at the top right in time tracking, you open the New entry form.
The "New entry" form contains:
- Company — the company for which the time is recorded.
- Type — Work, Vacation, or Sick; this allows you to record absences in the same calendar as well.
- Start and End — date and time of the period.
- Subchat (optional) — assign the time to a specific project subchat.
- Comment (optional) — a short note about what was done during this time.
Clicking Create saves the entry and it appears in the calendar.
Skava can also handle clocking in automatically as soon as you enter a work site — activate this geofence feature in the Settings.
Web App and Mobile App
The web app excels at sorting, filtering, and confirming larger quantities — for example, when you're catching up on the week over the weekend.
The mobile app is the entry point: record voice, quickly check off a box, mark a task as done.
